I remember watching a science show ones, I wish I could remember the name of it. However, they were showing how hard it is to actually blow up a car. How much spark would be needed in just the right place to blow up a car. It turns out that you really needed to be precise with where the spark fell in order to get a car to start burning. Even the fuel tank wouldn’t burn unless it was a precise amount in the right place. he even Put a fuse going into the fuel tank with the fuel tank wouldn’t explode unless it was under a quarter tank I think it was. Otherwise I remember it was really hard to catch a car on fire. So I can’t see a random ember doing it.
There are burned cars after every wildfire, cars also burn up on the side of highways occasionally. If the tires ignite, it can spread quite easily from there, plastic trim parts catch, bearings and components heat up and leak oil and grease which can ignite, spreads to interior upholstery and cushioning, etc.
