Its worse and only climbing beyond that. You can gauge by fast food restaurants: You could get a burger meal, all standard sized, for $5 in 2020. Now it's nearing triple the cost. Taco Bell is definitely triple in the same time frame. Chic-Fil-A, same. Burger King, same. All of them, same.
Dont even get me started on the insane grocery store prices in the same time span. Therefore, I would offer that $50k in 2020 is more in the neighborhood of $125k-$150k now.
