(1) There isn’t a link provided to the Instagram post (supposedly by Trump himself)
(2) Why would Pres. Trump post this on Instagram instead of Truth Social if the video was actually posted by him? Did Scavino post it anywhere? Does Pres. Trump even use Instagram? (I don’t know - I don’t have an account there)
(3) The video ends without any official “Trump approved this message” type of statement as an official campaign ad would typically say, along with a stamp of “Trump 2024” and “Text to 22088” or whatever at the end.
Methinks this is just a video made by a Trump supporter that’s posted somewhere (by someone - she didn’t provide the Instagram account direct link) and Crokin just mistakenly assumed it was actually a “Trump campaign ad” that was approved by Pres. Trump.
Many thanks for the Instagram link! So this confirms a couple of the things I was wondering about re: this.
#1: Liz Crokin referred to this video as being a Trump “campaign ad” but it has no such markings on it at the end of the video to indicate that. IMO, that’s an inaccurate description of what this Trump Instagram-posted video is.
#2: The GHW funeral video footage that Liz Crokin posted - as if that series of envelopes being opened at the funeral were in this “Trump ad” - was clearly a different video and not what was even included in this Trump Telegram video (the Telegram post itself only showed Hillary opening an envelope - not a sequence of people opening envelopes). And Crokin listed several other envelope recipients being in the a Trump-posted video that weren’t actually included in the Instagram video either. So that’s more clear misrepresentations on Crokin’s part.
Just think it’s important to know what is actually legit vs. being misrepresented. I’m all for Hopium, but accuracy also matters.
Also she clearly posted the screenshot of the instagram video Trump posted and then provided the entire video for those who hadn’t seen it. You’re acting as is lying and being deceptive.
Actually, I was just trying to understand the content and get to the correct info. I’ve seen this exact thing happen before where a Trump supporter posted a video highlighting a high end car set to a Phil Collins song (“In the Air Tonight”) that contained a lot of exciting content in it and the poster(s) kept claiming that it was a Trump campaign ad - but it wasn’t. I see this as being the very same situation.
The Crokin post specifically says this video is a Trump campaign video, but it’s NOT. Implying that President Trump formally created this as a campaign ad and authorized it is totally different than re-posting a ‘fan fiction’ type of video (which is what this definitely looks like).
Also, Crokin said that the Trump-posted “campaign video” (which it’s not) contained a multitude of various envelope recipients at the GHW Bush funeral within it, but it didn’t - it only showed Hillary.
There are several glaring inaccuracies going on with Crokin’s post and massive numbers of readers/viewers watching it will be interpreting it the wrong way on multiple levels, and then those people will also be spreading it around even more with countless more people being misled.
It may not make any difference to you, but it does to me. I’m not accusing anyone of bad intentions, but mis-labeling it as a Trump campaign video is definitely misleading, and so are the other inaccuracies in her post.
Very skeptical of this for multiple reasons:

It is in there. Its just showing clinton reading at the funeral.

It’s not a telegram post it’s on his Instagram.
