Here's the thing about brain/neurosurgery. There is already a robotic device that shaves the surgery time down to less than five minutes for most surgeries that used to take hours. The device is very expensive, and there aren't many out there, but it has been in use for about two years now.
There is another device for neurosurgery that uses radiofrequency waves, totally eliminating the need for cutting. So the state of the art for neurosurgery is already nearly at the level claimed by these medbeds, which have been claimed to be "ready" now for at least three years by my count...
Price is a function of quantity more than anything, the tech is being held back, under developed and restricted(ivermectin is a good example of them doing the very same thing with something else.)
People fail to see the usability because it is being held back and out of widespread use, one such machine could make virtually all conventional surgery obsolete, only when you have to physically move things around and take things out/put things in will it be of limited use...
