Right, it IS the Sutton Hoo helmet.
Somewhere I seem to recall reading that today's depictions of Vikings wearing horned helmets came from Wagnerian operas in the late 1800s / early 1900s, where costume designers thought that horns might be a nice touch. The idea caught on in movies, cartoons, and theater productions, but did not reflect historical reality.
I heard when operas about Vikings traveled to Scandinavia to be performed, the Scandinavians forced them to take the horns off of the helmets for the performance.
Heh, for good reason too.
