I went to a new doctor last week for a hand issue, and when the nurse left the room, my medical chart was left open on the computer screen. There, in a 2 inch by 1 inch block in the top, right corner in large, bold letters, it said PATIENT REFUSED. I always figured my refusal of the jab was displayed somewhere because I could always tell the doctor’s reaction to me. But the size of this literally screamed to any doctor that I had not complied. I almost felt violated with the size emphasis to make sure no medical person ever misses that I bucked their order. It fully taints any trust or relationship I have or could have with that medical person.

They say you are allowed to request a copy of your medical records but when I once tried, they straight up refused. Became hostile and suspicious. It wasn’t super important so I didn’t push the issue and was really more curious to see if we really are allowed to see them. Probably if you hired a lawyer and forced the issue, they’d eventually release a redacted (or altered) version, but for some reason they really don’t want people seeing what they’re writing on there.
Thats bullshit! You can obtain your med records- they just make you pay- this is a reportable HIPPA violation on the drs part-
Right, I’m sure they have to hand them over. I just think they throw up low-key resistance. Nothing official on paper that says they refused, more like a snotty attitude and making you feel like an asshole. I didn’t push it because it seemed like a hassle.
I would push them- i have easily obtainedy FULL med records to include labs- it just costs the admin fees- more hospital systems are on EMRs and have something similar to MYCHART, you can access labs, drs notes, etc through an online portal...
The only reason people request them is for lawsuits. That's why they responded with fear.
