House passes a stopgap bill to avert a government shutdown

The bill now heads to the Senate, which is expected to pass it ahead of Friday's deadline. It will keep the government funded through early next year while Congress debates spending.

The problem with govmint shut downs is it doesnt affect Congress, the very people who are responsible.
