5 USC PART III, Subpart B, CHAPTER 33, SUBCHAPTER II: OATH OF OFFICE Federal officials need oaths of office. Counties are part of the Crown Vatican Corporation too. You will find that they have absent or incomplete oaths of office as well (like ours). It isn't a coincidence.
