Welcome fren, here's a post I wrote awhile ago with some medicinal herbs, usnea is on the list. Usnea is good for UTI's also, among other things.

Thank you so much for that list. I actually looked up Usnea because it's not an herb, it's a lichen so I have no idea about it. The others I know except for sweet potato. I will go look.
You got a good list there.
Thank you fren.
You're welcome & thank you!
Usnea is great to have around. I've made tincture with it but you can also make a tea with it. I like to drink herbal teas, so still learning about what all the herbs are good for. Goldenrod tea is great for sinuses/colds. Chamomile tea is soothing/calming. Dandelion tea is good for the kidneys. Soooo many herbs... so little time, lol.
Can you give me the scientific or Latin name for sweet potato please?
For sweet potato leaves, it's scientific name is Ipomoea batatas.
Found this site while searching for the scientific name, but haven't read through it all yet ... https://academic.oup.com/nutritionreviews/article/68/10/604/1811438
Wow. Added to cancer fighting collection now. Thank you so much.
I need to get lists together for what is good for what, it's a daunting task. Didn't realize that there were so many cures for everything without pharma drugs, and pretty much right outside our doors. Many of the plants we've always called weeds are wonderful herbs to help with just about any ills we have. I take pics of plants I don't know and try to identify it, lol.
How did you do your collection/lists of herbs? If you don't mind me asking.
