The phrase you used was "highest I've ever seen in my life." That's all I'm commenting on. I didn't say anything about what should be considered reasonable.

OK, so I’ll correct myself. Perhaps gas is not at the highest it’s ever been in my life, however, food is definitely.
The amount we are paying for food right now is ridiculous.
Even though gas is not at its highest, it’s not far from it. Don’t underestimate the power of the Biden economy. Just give it some time, it’ll be back up to $5.00 a gallon in no time.
Yeah, food is outrageous, electricity and water went up, homeowners ins is sky high.. it the first time in a long time I’ve had to worry about money and I live frugally. Gas is the least of my concerns right now.
I mean it's been a pretty steady downward trend for a while. I'm not gonna get upset about what might happen
Until my gas is down to $2.00 a gallon in the cost of my groceries are cut down by at least half, I won’t be satisfied.
But this will never happen. Food manufacturers will never add those extra ounces if they taken out of our food because of shrinkflation. We will never be able to recoup from this 100%.
