So, a social-media click farm?
Artificially driving up fake engagement?
After Elon got rid of bots, this is the next level - more sophisticated - that needs to be taken out.
The problem is that I've seen photos of Asian women with dozens of phones, whose entire job is using them to tap and click to drive engagement.
The phones are all laid on a slanted desk/wall and she pokes at each one's ads that keep coming up.
This is real.
I saw a video of guys who rent storage units. They have hundreds of phones all playing the same song off of iTunes. The people that were paying them were the music labels. All to drive a single song up the charts.
Precisely.
Quality =/= play. Only those chosen by the bosses succeed.
Most of the "bots" on twitter were not literal programmatic bots, but click farms where humans do the job of the bot (and I have no problem classifying them as "bots lol)
Elon has most definitely not gotten rid of bots, as this post clearly showed. X still has a major, major problem with bots
Definitely still there, but I can see from my own experience that the amount of bots attacking us has drastically reduced. But yeah, not zero yet.
Same sleeper accounts upvoting pro-FE comments to derail discussion and make things all about them, to distract from the real problems, too.
