It is much more than carbon credits. If they control food, money and energy then they can control you completely. Carbon emissions come from energy use so restricting carbon dioxide emissions is a way to restrict energy use.
They are obviously not serious about restricting CO2 emissions because they are allowing China and India to expand as much as they like. When you can restrict energy then you are justified in increasing the cost of fuel. It will become more expensive to drive a car and heat or cool your home.
The solution they propose is for you to move into some modern, well insulated, homes that are so close to all the amenities that you do not need a car. Hence: 15 minute cities. Off-grid living will be outlawed, houses in the country will be deemed inefficient. Your taxes will be raised to price you out of your home and into their new concentration camps.
