Couldn’t they just report on pollution instead? Climate change may be a hoax but surely people dumping waste where it’s not supposed to be is a real problem that journalists could put their resources towards.

Exactly, in the 70's and 80's we were taught that buses running on compressed natural gas exhaust harmless CO2 and water.

Acid rain and poisons dumped in the environment were once considered real threats.
