I was in 3rd grade at St. Mary Magdalen School llearning fractions. Our church priest told us we had to pray for The President because he had been shot. We spent the next hour on our knees saying the rosary for him. I remember looking out the window at our American flag that we had earlier raised on the flag pole and had sung the National Anthem to as we did every morning. I do remember being scared all day. Anyone else have a story to share? Would be interesting to know what others were doing that horrible day.

I was a jr in HS and we were outside in a patio area during lunch break and the principal came out and climbed up on one of the picnic tables and said with his voice shaking "I have an announcement. President Kennedy has been shot. He did not survive" Time just stood still. I remember knowing beyond a doubt that our world was never going to be the same. Even writing this gives me chills up my back and the sting of tears.
