Rapture is not in the bible but the harpodzo is in 1Thess. Tis word is translated into the Latin as "rapturo" which is where the word rapture comes from. Christians are promised not to see the Tribulation--Rev 3:10 and 1Thess. If you read Revelation, the church, represented by the 24 Elders are in heaven---the redeemed by the blood of the Lamb---You can believe or not but the Bible does teach the Rapture alson known as the Blessed Hope!
This passage, when placed in the larger context of the chapter, is answering questions that Christians in Thessalonica had concerning death. What has happened to our loved ones who have died before the return of Christ to earth? What is theirs and our ultimate destiny? Paul’s answer: bodily resurrection at the return of Christ to earth! Not an escape into the sky [see appendix below!].
The rapture is a late, in Christianity terms, interpretation from the 1830s. It's another method of fear mongering and guilt trips to get people into the church to put another dollar in the box by the holy rollers in evangelical churches.
Sorry but Rapture is taught. When Jesus ascended into heaven the two angels said He would return in like manner. Pronouncing blessings and only to true believers since that is only He appeared to after His resurrection. This is in sharp contrast to Hos second coming when EVERY eye will see Him. Paul said the dead believers would rise first and then we would be changed in a twinkling of an eye. The second coming it says the Saints come with Him. I’ve read the false doctrines started by Roman Catholic Church and other doctrines. I prefer to stick with what the Bible teaches.
The rapture isn't real and it isn't in the Bible. So you don't have to worry about that part.

Only took 1800+ years to be "taught." We can agree to disagree, that's fine.
