I had not heard that one, but I've heard about The Wandering Jew for a long time, including from two relatives who he walked by in the wilderness many years ago. Everything went silent, all the animals, even the wind. And a heavy, steady thudding sound like from a very long stride from a very large person approached behind them. They're not chickens by any means but they were absolutely frozen as it passed right behind them and they did not turn to look. After the atmosphere returned to normal, they tore back home, cancelling the whole outdoors trip. Didn't talk about it for years.
