The mRNA doesn't change the DNA in all of your cells, just some. Its speculation but it is feasible that the cell replication dynamics cause the non-modified cells to out-replicate the modified cells over time.

The body has an amazing capacity to heal, and you can use your mind to help, which is why good doctors never tell a patient there's nothing the patient can do.
