My go to is 120 million armed Americans, with 400 million firearms. Now imagine the 50 million or so that would never tell a 'poll' that they have firearms, then you have The largest Armed Force in history.
Just about every traffic sign from our house down to town has bullet holes in them...10 miles of winding up and down canyon road. Says some about some people.
If I had a crowd of Antifa or BLM forcing my gate open and walking up the driveway mouthing about burning the house down, I would stand out there with a gun.
Good luck with that. The SCOTUS has ruled that 'law enforcement' is Not responsible for protecting The Citizen. THAT alone demands that Every citizen be armed to protect their family, because it is only a matter of time that 911 will Not even be answered, much less sending police.
It's most likely higher than that. I would say that I don't have any guns in the context of a poll like this and I imagine most of the folks at the range I go to would as well. Even the LEO's. I've seen tons of first time gun buyers in recent years at the range so they do understand the need to train. I could use more range time, but ammo is getting expensive.
I am sure glad you are seeing a lot of first time owners and they are training. I have to also. Blue states frown on all of that so you have to go very far to go practice.
I can't afford more ammo, so I haven't been to the range in a bit too long. I use my shotgun for home defense and I suspect any intruders would bail as soon as they heard me rack it. Not to mention the 60lb lab puppy that would undoubtedly beat me to first contact. ;)
Yeah, those ammo cost a lot. I have a Rottweiler and a husky-looking Dingo. That stays with me always. The Rottweiler looks very aggressive and will let us know whenever something is here. He is just a puppy yet, but will become quite large.
I go to the range but have to cut back also due to ammo.

That's if idiots learn how to use what they got. How many toasters oven, bread makers left in storage room? Pray they take some classes.
I agree they should but it really will not matter If the 'shooting' starts because they will defend their homes and WE will defend The USA.
Amen to that.
I am learning also.

Not good, responsible owners.
You mean like the mccloskys

It's a social statement to the city dwellers. FAFO
Yes.
I'll have to borrow one from a neighbor.

Happened already in many major cities.
It doesn't work that way.
Liberalism always creates the exact opposite of its stated intent.
Jim Quinn.
Amen

Sorry for your blue state situation fren. We'll get through this soon.
I moved in 2021 to a red state and couldn't be happier. I have a chance now to go and learn.
Glad you made it fren!
Thank you! Train those people please. They will need to learn. I am learning how to clean now.
