This started last year, now there's only like two branches near me when they used to be everywhere and one of their office buildings that I drive past every week has looked dark and vacant for months now.
Mom retired from there she hated the big banks. Said it would lead to no good. They've been chipping back for yesrs... starting in 2018 when my local went. A very busy branch. I keep telling my son to pull out cash n buy gold silver....its gonna go BOOM soon..
Is it a bank collapse? Or is it rightsizing? There's like 6 different banks is every town. Let half of em closed that's not a collapse. That's what's needed.
Never thought I'd see the day that banks were closing. Remember when every new construction was either a bank or a church.
Part of the CBDC push? Even before branches closed they were making it a hassle to get cash.
They are the same thing no? Asking for Cardinal Pell
...or a insurance agency

Good point.
Hard to have a bank run when there’s no banks to “run” All part of the plan
I wonder how many of these are in underserved neighborhoods?
Every neighborhood will be underserved soon…. Except for the 0.01% private client banking.
As far as PNC all the ones that I've seen closed were in the suburbs.
Bank consolidation should be completed by the end of 2024
