We don't have a cost problem, we have a theft problem, and misappropriated funds problem. We also have an education problem, which is again another problem created by the govt.
The point being- nearly all of the reasons mankind finds it so "hard" to get to the moon are self imposed hardships created by our governments. The sad truth is that there was no popular desire to continue going to the Moon, or going "back" to the Moon. May I ask how old you are?
