2 weeks ago I thought I was dealing with coof symptoms because I wasn't well and had shortness of breath. Update: just got out of the hospital having been treated for pulmonary emboli and a blood clot in my kidney. Just before I became ill two of my coworkers got boosters both were sent home feeling sick. Two days later I got sick. I wasn't tested so I don't have a positive result. Just the clots. Has anyone come across any evidence of a booster causing a shedding event like this?

This study specifies vaccinated parents to their children. It is highly unlikely, and has not been proven, that random infrequent interactions can cause the same result.
I beg to differ, my first encounter getting sick was with my father who i was taking care of. 2010 he got the Swine flu shot at his Dr.s office and came down with the swine flu two days later and so did I. ( I didn't get the shot) and died one week later. I didn't know at the time about vaccine shedding.
During Covid, I hugged a woman who just got out of the hospital, fully vaxed and wasn't sick and I got sick second day. I'm convinced that the shredding is real.
I'm sorry for your loss.
I was trying to make a post that was also relevant to the OP. Your first instance was with a family member, which is supported by the study. The second instance, where you hugged a woman, is also a pretty close interaction that provided perhaps a similar type of cross-infection.
The OP was wondering about random interactions, and I assume he/she isn't hugging co-workers. This is what hasn't been proven...whether cross-infection can travel between people through a significant airspace.
I think it's best if we don't panic ourselves before more is known. Exercise caution, to be sure, but don't let preliminary theories cause anxiety.
