Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

I am doing some research on this particular piece is the culture wars, but I want your second opinion:
Tomorrow, The Daily Wire is releasing their first feature-length comedy film, Lady Ballers. It is a comedy satire roasting this whole thing about "Trannys/Men competing in Women's sports" we unfortunately have going on right now. I watch the trailer and it was hilarious. Even more hilarious is that the left is getting triggered to Hell, as expected.
Now, here is where I want your second opinion on: Jeremy Boreing, CEO of The Daily Wire, have said in an interview that The Daily Wire tried to get the film to be released in theaters, but the movie was denied a theatrical release since the movie pretty much stomped, made much fun of, and mocked to Hell the current sacred cows of the Cult of Hollywood: Trannies and Gender-fluidity. This made the theater-chain owners not want to touch the film with a ten-foot pole, or even talk about it, despite the fact that everyone knows that the movie theaters are really hurting financially, since the current movie offerings going into December is very lacking.
What is interesting is that Theaters have screened a film that also poked at a sacred cow of Hollywood: Sound of Freedom. Sound of Freedom exposed how horrific child trafficking is, and we pretty much suspect that Hollywood is Child Trafficking central at this point in time, yet AMC and other theater chains still screened the movie to huge financial success.
So, what does Sound of Freedom have that allowed it to be shown in theaters while Lady Ballers don't have?
The persistence of the SoF producers. Someone had mentioned that they spent almost 2 years before the release, going place to place, promoting the movie within the industry and getting the theatres understand that people support it.
Not an easy job, but its not impossible. They do have a different problem though. Even though this movie might be making fun of the trans crap, a lot of people wont watch it. It's not something you would take your family, or your grandma, or your kid, to show it, because regardless of the message, the content - seeing trans people portrayed - is gonna be not enjoyable for a lot of people. I personally wouldn't care to watch it either.
Noted.
I'll probably see it, based on how much I was laughing at the trailer. Besides, I have stomached many horror movies and intense thrillers. Comedy poking fun at Trannies should be a walk in the park.
