Interesting take on what causes it, I know that there is tech that can create earthquakes.
Nukes cause it
Ben Davidson says folks in the middle of America had better head for higher ground. Waves will come in from the Gulf that will reach northern Missouri. Will be interesting to see. But this is going to be caused by the flipping of the Earth due to the magnetic pole shift.
It would flood the mississippi river valley up to missouri or Illinois, and thats about it, water takes the path of least resistance
I wonder if the flood will be a five mile tall tidal wave or a Japanese-style tsunami and the water level rises as the water goes inland. I couldn't get an answer on that aspect from Ben. What say you?
Even if it hit the mississippi delta at 5 miles tall, it wont make it all the way up the midwest, it would lose over half of its volume in miss and Louisiana alone

In the above thread, the author supplies some geographic images of the layers of differing types of deposits. The Ozarks looks like it will be spared but the southern half of Arkansas will be innundated by a wave. You might be spot on with your analysis. I'm hoping a wave doesn't get to the interior of America.
