Why did they lie to me in the 80's that natural gas was clean burning and the byproducts are harmless carbon dioxide and water?

If carbon dioxide was really bad for the environment, they would legislate Coke and Pepsi out of existence.

Funny you say that, i used to work in largescale greenhouse production, we burned natural gas to enrich the environment with co2. Needless to say, the plants LOVED it.
