He's not wrong. I know a guy in his fifties whose grandfather was alive when Lincoln was president. (His father was born when his grandfather was in his seventies).
When he told me that it really made me realize how close eighteen sixty five is to our time & it is very possible that a lot of that demoralization is manifested in today's youth.
I used to say 20 years ago. And everybody would get upset with me. But I said, why are we teaching slavery in school? It cannot possibly be good for little black boys and girls to be reminded every year that their ancestors were 'nothing but slaves'.
I'm glad that some blacks can see it's now being done to whites.
