WEEEKLY CHAT - WEEK 49!
WEEKLY CHAT #49
OK, let's try the weekly chat idea, V2. Been hearing some positive comments! Seems like we have a winner! Give it a chance! Here goes! <3
Ivermectin question. Just bought it for my second time ever. Both times I bought from Chewy, and same brand, the Durvet. The first time, the tube was small and the ivermectin was white and looked like hand lotion. This time, the tube is much larger, and now it looks more like an ointment, almost like vasoline. Both said 1.87%. Any idea why they are different?
Good to know, and glad it’s normal. I didn’t mind the taste of the hand lotion-y paste at all.
As long as the active ingredient is ivermectin you are fine. Pay attention to the amount of milligrams per click so you know how to dose yourself.
Think of it this way the active ingredient in lot of products is acetaminophen (Tylenol). That can be made into a liquid, caplet, or rectal suppository.
The inactive ingredients will decide what the end product looks like.
Wait Ivermectin Enemas?
lol you read my mind 😂
Two peas in a pod😂
It’s possible (but I have never seen rectal ivermectin).
Rectal administration is helpful for young or old patients that won’t swallow well. Or when oral medicine won’t be kept down, such as Phenergan suppositories work really well for patients with nausea and vomiting. Here is a summary

Good advice. You made my day 😄
The only ivermectin I have ever bought is gel.
How do you use the paste?
I think they’re talking about the oral not topical paste. But I have heard of some people using liquid ivermectin in the bellybutton for people that were hospitalized on ventilators.
Well I want to take it orally, just for 2 weeks or so. Mainly as a preventative
They went back to original packaging. They changed to discourage people from using it during the scamdemic
The packaging looked the same to me. It’s the consistency and coloration of the paste that changed. Did they also change that too? The first time I bought was about 1-2 years ago
