New trials of noise cameras around the UK will see drivers and riders fined between £100 and £400 for breaking sound limits.

I'm with you, today it seems like every single truck and car has to be loud. When I was little it used to be cool to hear a suped up car because there was something special about it. A Chevelle, Camaro, Challenger, etc. Now all these morons are putting pipes on anything with a motor and I really think they do believe it's "Cool".
