Some people's ceiling in life shows up in very public ways. The best that Robinette will ever be is what he is right now: a dementia-riddled old man with destruction and betrayal and failure scattered all through his miserable life.

He should be a prescient cautionary tale to democrats and liberals everywhere, but such people do not learn.
