Since when do progressives peacefully protest? Gay is not standing up for free speech. She's been ordered to dumbly, pun intended, stand with Hamas no matter what. The lawmakers are using this opportunity to call for defunding a woke dei vested college practicing apartheid..
Since this Harvard one apparently. Seriously, go look at the Boston Herald's picture of the protesters where they claim students were "terrified" and tell me this looks anything like your normal progressive protest.

They are walking in an orderly line with green safety vested people on either side. Do you see a single bullhorn? Were any Starbucks or cars harmed?
Yet supposedly this "terrified" people?
As far as Gay, obviously she is playing the identity politics game where Arab Muslims beat Israeli Jews in the Oppression Olympics. However, in this case that requires her to support the free speech of the protesters. Conservatives will not fare well when words are considered violence. I think it sets a dangerous precedent when government funding is withheld because the "wrong" speech wasn't suppressed. We would be happy if Democrats tried to deny Federal funds to a Christian University if students protested men that claim to be women on biological women's sports teams and the University didn't suspend or expel them for hate speech?
Propaganda photos in the MSM are not informative. Yes, several students storming dormitories shouting death threats throughout the evening can be terrifying. Freedom of speech already does not exist on college campuses for those who do not follow the trending narrative. Federal funds should have been pulled from private colleges years ago -- private colleges should never have been funded in the first place.
