Agreed. I think the Greek mythology of Prometheus gifting man fire is a pagan story of the truth man probably passed down verbally and telephone-game style for millennia after the Flood: we were given knowledge by an Advanced Being. We know it to be God, but man becoming pagan corrupted the truth to fit their narratives.
Doesn't change the fact there's still seed of truth to the story, though.
Well the bible is numerous ancient texts put together, so to say no one has misintepreted or mistranslated wether by accident or with bad intention is alot of faith to have in humaniy. I would defiantly say the Vatican has washed the great religon of christianty with Paganism and those original Christians whom faught the invading goths and vandals inhabiting what became the eastern Roman empire probably had more direct interpretation, pre the council of Nicea.
God walked with Man in the Garden (Genesis 3:8).
Man (Adam) had access to a Being with infinite knowledge.
Knowledge has devolved over time.
Ancient Man had more knowledge, not less. This flies in the face of modern Darwinian timelines and anthropological assumptions.

It could be that they weren't all "pagan" like were told by our Vatican masters
Curious, do you believe the Bible or Christianity is just vatican propaganda?
