If Nicola Tesla discovered a way to harness unlimited energy for all humans, and if the mechanisms are small enough, then electric cars are going to be very viable. Maybe Musk has a long range plan. Batteries are the major stumbling block to reliable electric cars. No batteries problem solved.

i mean it doesn't have to be that specific solution. could just start with better batteries.
but i think you're right... our current technological woes are quite laughable, and this will be revealed to us through rapid developments
Yeah, the Trillions we spent in the last 22 years in the Middle East sham wars. We could have advanced battery tech a long way.
Lol batteries can't get better unless we have a tech breakthrough that would change the world lol look up why batteries can't get better, especially rechargeable.
Throwing money at tech doesn't doesn't magically malke tech better, we need breakthrough inventions and ideas.

my point stands...
I watched a show where MIT had created a EV battery out of dirt essentially, it performed exceptionally well. I knew that was the last I would hear of that and that was the last time I heard of that.
Probably fake that's why lol
Remember the Egyptians had "sand" batteries.
