My wife and I sat through it this weekend, all the way to the end. Interesting concept, but I cannot stand Julia Roberts, never understood her appeal, and now that's multiplied by ten. Plus, with the Obamas as executive producers, you know there is going to be a spin, a narrative to be pushed.
As another fren pointed out, this looks like a loose remake of The Monsters are Due on Maple Street, an old Twilight Zone episode. If you have the time, go back and watch some of those episodes along with The Outer Limits. Those shows were way ahead of their time and a hell of a lot more interesting to watch.
