Sleepy Dude - I MAY HAVE THE SOLUTION FOR YOU. PLEASE READ:
Narcolepsy and Gallbladder issues RUN IN MY FAMILY. After years and years of research, doctor's visits, surgeries, treatments and trial and error, with various family members being affected, I finally figured out what the culprit was that caused one or both of these conditions for all of them.
A Magnesium and Vitamin K2 deficiency was the cause.
DID YOU KNOW:
Magnesium stimulates the gallbladder to dilate or 'open wide' and dump its storage of bile (digestive juices) into the digestive tract when specific foods require it. Magnesium is water soluble. You can't store it. You must take it every day. It is easy to become deficient.
In the absence of enough Magnesium the gallbladder will only open a small amount, retaining much of its bile. This is no good.
All of the bile contents should be released when required, if not, it will be trapped in the stretchy organ of the gallbladder, causing pain and in time, developing a buildup of bile, cholesterol and calcified contents which can cause either a sludge condition or small or large stones, not unlike a clam forms a pearl when a particle of sand is trapped inside.
IMPORTANT:
K2 and Magnesium ALSO dissolve calcium and break the molecule down so that the body can utilize it properly. A lack of either will cause the buildup of calcium stones in the gallbladder and cause calcification in the aorta and abdominal arteries in the form of calcified plaque.
Remember, bile is an emulsifier and solvent, and it is necessary to digest fats and protein foods. If the gallbladder is unable to release enough bile, your stomach will be distressed due to lack of digestive juices and so will your too-full gallbladder, because it is constantly refilling and must be emptied regularly to prevent gallstone or 'sludge' buildup.
SO WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOU HAVE THIS NOW?
Ask the doctor to put you on a Magnesium drip IV to give you a quick Magnesium refill. Then, begin taking Magnesium and K2 today and forever. Don't remove the gallbladder if you don't have to. In the long run, you will be glad that you still have it. It is important.
If you have stones too big to pass, you can have a sound-wave stone crusher treatment done called a Lithotripsy on your gall bladder which will cause the stones to break into small pieces without injuring your gallbladder, allowing them to pass without having surgery.
It works well. If you have only a bad sludge build up, you can ask them to put a temporary drain in your gallbladder which will allow the buildup to drain out.
But truly, you will need to get on and remain on Magnesium and K2 forever to prevent this from happening again!
Good Luck. Let me know if this helps!
