He's not stepping up. He's playing the game to win the nomination if Trump can't run. He doesn't WANT Trump to run. If he did, he wouldn't be running himself. He's simply positioning himself as an alternative, God forbid, if Trump can't run.

Be wary of those telling you exactly what they know you want to hear.

Have you considered that we may need an alternative?

There are those of us who are hedging their bets and believe that Trump has to lose again in some fashion for more decisive action to be taken.

Say that loss is created by multiple states doing this and SCOTUS turning the case down or directly supporting it personally?

Who would you vote for in that situation? Clown Clops? The land whale who only needs to exist to lose weight?
