There is a book, called "Day of Deceit", that was a very thorough investigation of the Pearl Harbor attack. Abundant evidence of the whole thing being essentially orchestrated by the U.S. Government is undeniable. I say "essentially" orchestrated, because we didn't do the attacks, we egged on the Japanese to do an attack, and let it happen, to provide support for entering WWII. FDR had a group of people studying how to infuriate the Japanese, with the intention of driving them to do some kind of attack. They were probably pretty happy that it ended up being such a bold attack as Pearl Harbor.
