Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat

-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.

If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way

Jesus’ Birth Foretold Luke 1: 26-37 26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth, 27 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And coming in, he said to her, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.” 29 But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was. 30 The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; 33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.” 34 Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I am a virgin?” 35 The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the [holy Child shall be called the Son of God. 36 And behold, even your relative Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age; and [i]she who was called barren is now in her sixth month. 37 For nothing will be impossible with God.”

What an awesome scene we have here. Not only is it the conception of our savior Jesus Christ, also it portray a young girl who is visited by an angel. She is initially perplexed by the how but ultimately surrenders to the will of the Father. How often do we as humans hear God but think, that can't be, or simply just doubt because the effort it takes and the sacrifice it would cost. Did the fact that Mary was also young, play a crucial part? Do we as adults tend to doubt the possible, simply because of what we have seen so far In our lives. Nothing is impossible with God....Do we truly hold this thought tight in our hearts. This Christmas i challenge each of us to spend some time in Prayer and ask God to reveal the impossible. We have all begun to awaken to the evils of the world. The impossibly hard evils that years ago many of us would have said are impossible. If the losing side can do such impossible things, how much greater can our God do. 2024 is gonna be a year in which many of us grow into those previously perceived impossible things. Will you step out in faith like Mary so our Christ can be born not only within you but within the world. Love you all and Mary(KEK 😉🐸) Christmas
So I am gonna attempt to expand on the first verse idea a little and bring more passages into this general chat. The idea is that we all share what's on our heart as we read them. Let the Lord lead as we explore different parts of the good book. ✝️...this concept will be every growing so please feel free to share your thoughts on how to improve it)
Probably gonna do these every couple days. Kinda seeing where God guides it
