I always wondered why they need to keep increasinng the percentage of a tax. Seems if 3% was good enough for then, its good enough for now. Same for all taxes.

The Fed prints the Money and Nixon took us off the Gold Standard. value of money is not fixed to price of gold but can "float" and it always floats up.
