TY so much for sharing these insights on TN. We are planning a pre-retirement move out of the disgustingly bluetarded Peoples Republic of Northern Virginia within the next 1-2 years and while we have been eyeing up a couple beach towns in SC, we keep seeing TN pop up in our retirement move research...particularly Chattanooga.

We visited there this summer (Knoxville, too)...I liked Chattanooga fine and was indifferent about Knoxville... but my wife was underwhelmed by both. And yet, Chattanooga keeps popping up as a recommended retirement spot.

Having visited Nashville several years ago, and with my wife's obsession with "today's country" music (or the slop coming out of Music City these days to which they attempt to apply that genre description), she wants to look into Nashville. Based on the idiotic woke-ism I see increasingly manifest itself in the "country music" industry, I keep trying to tell her that we'd be exchanging life in one miserably nasty blue part of the country for another in Nashville.

I do generally love TN, particularly eastern TN, and want to keep it on our radar....a beautiful state, with some truly nice, genuine (e.g., not Northern VA) people living there. Again, TY for your insights...I will be tracking you! :)
