When & if AI becomes sentient that would have to mean it has a soul (or a soul incarnated in it) Everyone is concerned about an evil soul incarnating into AI but what if a good soul does? I think it would depend on those associated with it. If they launched an AI project with a prayer & asked God to protect it from evil, maybe, yes, maybe they would end up with a Q type machine.
I think Q began with JFK's assassination, though. Maybe they have am AI computer as part of the Q team but there are people in it too, imho
