If they reform and Jesus said they could change, would you argue? Not saying that’s how it works (I don’t think so), but I had never thought of that possibility. Jesus is King.
nice response. you don't have to trust me, but i believe it was told to me on good authority that only those who prefer hell stay there forever. for everyone else it is to work the impurities out of our soul. it is an opportunity to be reminded of what you don't want, and how not to get there. where those who do not fear God will be made to.
Well, I believe they are clear but there are 1000 interpretations for one passage of scripture. I am always cautious because some christians can’t handle any disagreement.
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
i think the more important point is that you seem to be reading things in the text that arent there.... its okay, you arent the only one. but i wonder where else its happened?
Roman Catholics believe in a Purgatory---not Biblical, Mormons believe you can be Baptized for your dead relatives---not Biblical---Jehovah's Witness do not believe Jesus was the God of the Old Testament even tho Jn. 1 says He is. Jesus even said "I AM" referencing the voice in the burning bush. If you are in Christ, you will still sin because it is in our nature and we are forgiven but we are not to willfully sin. THose that willfully sin are not in Christ by any means but by their mouth. The Bible is consistent if you read everything there is on each topic. You cannot pull one scripture out of context and use that to say the Bible is not consistent. The Bible is the Word of God. Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh. There is a connection and God cannot lie!
i remain unconvinced by your interpretation. "these shall go away into everlasting punishment" does not specify that they are trapped there. only that hell itself is eternal.
If one understands the difference between the spirit world and the material world, one recognizes that time as it exists on the physical plane does not exist in the spiritual plane.
Thus, in the spirit world, there is no future or past, but only the eternal now. It is, by definition, eternity.
People imagine that this means that eternal life and eternal death are permanent states, but they are not. Eternal life is spiritual life, meaning to exist in a living relationship with the creator in the spiritual dimension (which eternal), and eternal death is to be separated from the Creator in the spiritual dimension.
Resurrection is the phenomena of moving from spiritual death (Satan's dominion) to spiritual life (God's dominion). It can happen when you are in your physical body (coming to Jesus means you resurrect into a living relationship under God's sovereignty) or when you are in the spiritual realms (as evidenced by the saints and prophets of the past walking the streets of Jerusalem after the resurrection of Jesus).
God created each human being. Even if it takes 'eternity' God will find a way to restore every child.
That's my faith, anyway. Many people's reading of scripture is far too simplistic and is premised on ignorance about the reality of the spirit world, imo.
It's not my interpretation. It is the Word of God. Hebrews 9:27 tells us man dies once & then judgement. Don't play chicken with God. The only Get Out of Jail Free card is faith in Jesus eho died for the sins of the world. He who believes and id baptized will not be condemened, but have everlasting life. May God the Father draw you to Jesus. May Jesus reveal the Father to you. May the Holy Spirit work faith in Jesus' atoning death on the cross in your life and in the lives of those you love. And may his Word become alive in you and you become baptized into Jesus' Holy name. I ask this in Jesus' Mighty name. Amen.
Separation from God is eternal. If one rejects Jesus there is no hope, for there is no other sacrifice for one's sin and there never will be.
Please don't go to Hell, but if you do give us a call when you get out and let us know how it went and where you are going to be everlastingly punished next.
Soul life = nephesh kai in the Hebrew. It means breath life. When you stop breathing youbsoul life stops. Spiritual life through Christ is incorruptible. God calls it being born again (anothen Greek- born from above) he calls it incorruptible seed. Preach the word, bring people to Christ and help them receive eternal life. That's how you beat the devil.
I agree with this completely. I also believe it was how God was able to create man to have choice without eternal life consequences. This is hard for a lot of people to entertain. A better reading of things like eternal punishment (Mt 25:46) may be, a punishment that is settled eternally. Also forever and ever can be interpreted to be to an end of an age. We can often miss meaning when only looking at the english translation of God's holy word.
"John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not PERISH but have ETERNAL LIFE." It's funny that perhaps the most well known verse in Christianity spells it out quite clearly.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Bible is the Word of God. Is this a play on words or was Jesus just kidding when He said the volume of the book speaks of me? The Bible reveals Jesus from Genesis to Revelation.
I’ve watched interviews or read accounts of multiple child victim survivors of satanic ritualistic abuse - I he most extreme trauma I can imagine.
The one consistency they talk about when it comes to “the answer” to Satanists: love. They say it’s all about love, spreading it as far as possible. I find it curious that people reading about Satanists want to “join” them in a way, torturing the torturers. And the tortured are more like Jesus.
Amen. I'm with you Oldpatriot. God bless and Happy New Year.
Back at ya Mary911…
where is it guaranteed that those who go to hell stay there?
If they reform and Jesus said they could change, would you argue? Not saying that’s how it works (I don’t think so), but I had never thought of that possibility. Jesus is King.

makes more sense to me
I agree that we will end up where we are most “comfortable”. The specific details and process I think will be made clear later.
the details and process can be made clear now, if you prefer. there are no secrets.
Well, I believe they are clear but there are 1000 interpretations for one passage of scripture. I am always cautious because some christians can’t handle any disagreement.
I have my beliefs, and they are clear.
does Matthew 7:7 mean nothing to you? PRAY on the answers, and they will come.
Plenty. I just don’t often share my ideas and beliefs online.
LAST VERSE!

great stuff. still not seeing where it specifies they have to stay
Where do you see they don't?
i think the more important point is that you seem to be reading things in the text that arent there.... its okay, you arent the only one. but i wonder where else its happened?
the Word of God goes far beyond the Bible
Don't ask the question if you don't want the answer. Great down vote on the Bible!

Matthew 25:31-46
the sheep from the goats and gnashing of teeth bit? i mean i guess you could interpret it that way
Verse 46 is the kicker. Eternal punishment or eternal life. You asked if people sent to hell stayed there. Eternal is forever.
"...Choose this day whom you will serve.... As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15

How do they get out then if rhey refuse to stay out now?
"Confess with thy mouth the lord Jesus and believe InThine heart that God hath raised him from the dead and this shalt be saved" Roman's 10:9 ff.
I prefer to be Son conscious rather than sin conscious. God doesn't operate from fear but from love which cast out all fear.
The decision has to be made while you live. God gave you freedom of will. So it's up to you to will.

seeking truth is not playing chicken. the Bible leaves plenty unsaid. but we can still receive answers through prayer.
Separation from God is eternal. If one rejects Jesus there is no hope, for there is no other sacrifice for one's sin and there never will be.

46 Everlasting punishment or eternal life. Here is the proof.

I'm with you. I just don't think Jesus is giving eternal life to those going to hell. John 3:16.
He's not willing that any should perish. It makes sense that there are those that will. Lets pray for an awakening,
