We spend New Years Eve at home, and after preparation, we start the New Year with a prayer (which I would lead) exactly at the chime of midnight. The first 10 or 15 minutes of the year are spent with God in prayer. I will normally lead the prayer, and the content is very similar to that of his dad's. After that prayer, each prayers individually, but in unison.
This is followed by another ritual. My wife and I bow to each other down to the floor, in respect of each other, then our kids bow to us, and then we gather in a family hug, with laughs and just being together in that circle embrace for however feels right.
After this, we'll usually read some passages for scripture. After all this, we might spend time playing a game or such, before sleeping and hitting the hay.
While the rest of the world is out there drinking, partying, etc, we spend that time with our Father, dedicating the coming year to him.
Wonderful.
My family also has a similar tradition.

A blessing on the coming year for all GAW pedes.
Wonderful! The old ways of faith and family ring true and will hopefully begin again! 🙏
Feels pretty cool to be able to share my family tradition online here at GAW!
Yes! I loved reading it! 🙏❤️
