This may be a noob question (I'm sure it is), but looking at the flight logs, since there are no airports on the actual island, what are people making assumptions on? I see a bunch of flights for Bill Clinton to Miami, is that where we think the pedos flew to?

Or is there something I'm missing

Yep. Look at the airport code "STT" -or- "TIST" on the flight logs.
