America is NOT OK! I feel we’re being pushed into poverty so that the government can sweep in and “save” us all at the last min. Most people live paycheck-paycheck, if they are lucky to even have a job. The middle class has disappeared and the lower class is living on the streets and in their cars.

Prepping for financial hardship is not something most Americans are good at. Folks finance eeeverything which means they have no assets or capital to lean on during rough times. No savings and totally over leveraged.
The smartest thing I was taught in my 20s was saving and investing most of what I earned. That plus a very good high-paying line of work and I can weather anything and not feel the slightest bit worried or affected by it. Consumerism is what gets a lot of people in that paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle
This is so true. People think it's normal to spend money like they do these days. We have too many clothes, toys, gadgets, home decor, sporting goods, beauty products & services, showy cars, subscriptions, restaurant meals, alcohol etc etc. People didn't live like this before
Consumerist stuff is cheaper right now. Toilet paper and saltines are 66% more expensive. Meanwhie luxury makeup and Nikes cost the same.
I do not entirely blame them, if you are going to be poor and miserable might as well do it in style and kind of happy
As long as THEY control real estate and average people are enslaved to rent, the cycle will continue. Shelter is a basic human right. Not like men can build their own log houses or shacks in this system. Here in Houston, tons of apartments, all owned by globohomos and they charge $$$$ for dumps in high crime areas
It gives an illusion to the world that people are ok because processed food keeps them fat and china keeps the people looking good for about 2 washings of the cheap clothes.
And the processed food companies are the ones bankrolling the "fatfluencers" on social media (at least some of them are getting their karma by suddenly dropping dead in droves.)
