Minocqua is a small island city of 4,500 or so, but it's sort of a vacation hub for that region, which between it and the county north of it have 3,000 lakes. So you have a ton of people in that town during summer who live in a different state and probably have know idea what kind of a lunatic this guy is and just think it's a local brewery tasting place and stop in for a beer.

I don't think his business was originally outwardly political before the Biden sign thing got him involved in a feud with the city and county. His old location was also restaurant that some friends and I stopped in at for a drink because we had some time to kill before a youth hockey hoedown in the park next door to him. It was overpriced even for a tourist town, especially Wisconsin which is known for cheap booze, but my old fashioned was tasty and so was the appetizer and the bartender was friendly enough.

I never saw Kirk there that night and am glad he wasn't because he seems like a disagreeable dude that holds grudges..It's a pretty chill place up there usually, but this guy managed to personally beef online with the owner of the newspaper and the Town Chairman and then collectively with the Town Board and County Zoning Commission.
