Trump's spokesperson Steven Cheung discredited the allegations in a statement last week, saying claims of a relationship between Trump and Epstein were "thoroughly debunked."

"These baseless accusations have been fully retracted because they are simply false and have no merit," Cheung said. Ransome did retract allegations she made in an email to a New York Post journalist in 2016, writing, "I have spoken to my family at some length this morning and I would like to retract everything I have said to you and walk away from this."
