This is exactly what keeps us imprisoned by them: The idea that these people are only bad because someone was mean to them. In other words, it's OUR fault that they are psychopaths and we should feel guilty and grovel to them to show our remorse (literally) and do everything we can to give them second chance after second chance and try to make them feel better.
