I don't see anything wrong with that. That's how it should be done. But this person claims that the employee just came in, and didn't announce themselves or ask if it was ok for them to be in there or anything. I just think that they're lying about it happening, to get attention or to push their agenda.
Or the cleaner saw what was obviously a man enter the restroom and didn't give a shit.
I don't think that person looks very masculine, though. And even so, if they saw what they thought was a man enter the lady's room, they should have said something. And there are some very masculine-looking women (who were born female), so why take the chance that you're wrong? And finally, if the employee thought he was a male, trying to pass as a woman, why would they give them an opportunity to claim they were being harassed like this?
What did the employee have to gain by going in there to clean the bathroom right then? Especially when you consider the risks? Anything from them being embarrassed by seeing something they shouldn't, to being fired if someone complained, or even having charges brought against them?
All for what?
