How far we've fallen. Dudes at skunkworks designed the SR-71 in the late 50s with slide rulers and math and physics knowledge. Built it in 64, and I'm pretty sure it's still the fastest plane ever made.
But in 2024 we still can't send humans back to the moon but we did it many times in the apollo missions....riiiight. can anyone remind me how they crossed the Van Allen belt in 1969 but today NASA has stated multiple times they don't know how to get through it?

You have to be blasting "Eruption" as you go through. At least post 1976.
