Why is it so hard for me, someone who qualifies for the O1 Visa, to get into the US, but so easy for illegal immigrants to cross the border and get in?

I've just been drilled about every little thing I can do, own and will do and everything hangs by a thin thread. But for some reason, if I just hiked my ass across Panama and Mexico, I could just.. get in?!

Well, why not just come in as an illegal? Then you'll get $2,000 a month and food stamps and a free cell phone and all that other stuff.

How hard can it be to come over illegally?
