I know that look. I have that look. It's the face of a man who's stared evil in the eyes for so long that it no longer bothers him. Think of it as the mechanisms in the brain that trigger "gallows humor." These things might be vomit-inducing to you, but he's already been through all that— he's no longer sad or depressed; he's angry— very fucking angry. Like when a guy has a smirk on his face when some idiot is trying to pick a bar fight with him: you know that dude is about to unleash a lifetime of anger on that idiot. Think of him like he's the real life Joker— who chose to fight for God to fix the problems, instead of cause more trouble.
I know everything he was talking about already, in detail, and I almost made the same face he did. It was nice seeing someone in a position to do something who knows these things. He was smiling due to a sarcastic mood brought on by exasperation and anger. I'll have that same smile on my face when I watch the deep state executed for treason on live tv. Hell, I'll throw a watch-party with free unlimited champagne and chicken wings while everyone else is solemnly dealing with being scarred for life. My scars will have been healed by then.
Thanks for your perspective. Midway through I noticed the slight smile almost coming cocky. Then I dismissed it a grinning smile. I see the smile going towards those that doesn’t believe this evil exist. Especially towards Christians who know about the devil but can’t fathom the truth about demonic, evil, torture and worse. When I was growing up (70s) I knew about the devil because it was always a subject on Sunday and my mama reminded me. Today most pastors or priests don’t speak of the devil because it might offend someone.
